Installation

Install CUE++ plugins on your grandMA3 system.

Plugin Paths

macOS

~/MALightingTechnology/gma3_library/datapools/plugins/

Windows

C:\ProgramData\MA Lighting Technologies\grandma3\gma3_library\datapools\plugins\

Console

USB drive or internal storage

macOS

  1. 1.Download the plugin folders
  2. 2.Navigate to ~/MALightingTechnology/gma3_library/datapools/plugins/
  3. 3.Copy plugin folders (each containing .lua and .xml files)
  4. 4.In grandMA3, run: ReloadPlugins

Windows

  1. 1.Download the plugin folders
  2. 2.Navigate to C:\ProgramData\MA Lighting Technologies\grandma3\gma3_library\datapools\plugins\
  3. 3.Copy plugin folders (each containing .lua and .xml files)
  4. 4.In grandMA3, run: ReloadPlugins

Console

  1. 1.Copy plugins to USB: grandMA3/gma3_library/datapools/plugins/
  2. 2.Insert USB into console
  3. 3.Menu → Setup → Show → Import/Export → Import
  4. 4.Select plugins from USB
  5. 5.Run: ReloadPlugins

Terminal Monitoring

Connect to the system monitor to see plugin output and debug messages.

macOS

/Applications/grandMA3.app/.../app_terminal then: sysmon 127.0.0.1

Windows

Start Menu → MA Lighting → grandMA3 Terminal then: sysmon 127.0.0.1

Troubleshooting

Plugin doesn't appear

Ensure both .lua and .xml files are present. Run ReloadPlugins.

Permission denied (macOS)

Grant Full Disk Access to grandMA3 in System Preferences.

Layout creation fails

Some plugins cannot create layouts automatically. Create manually first.
